Internal Medicine Referral Appointments/Consultations
Appointments to see our board certified internist, Dr. David Brummer ACVIM are based on referrals from veterinarians only. All referral clients must present a referral letter from the pet's regular veterinarian, unless we have scheduled a recheck appointment for an ongoing consultation. Our internist is not available on Wednesdays, weekends, or holidays.
Once treatment has concluded for the specifically diagnosed problem, it is expected that the patient return to the referring veterinarian. We will not see other pets, or the same pet for a different problem, unless there is an accompanying referral letter except for an emergency.
Surgical Referral Appointments/Consultations
Our boarded surgeon, Dr. James Fingeroth ACVS will see pets by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while Wednesday, he will conduct any surgical procedures. All cases either referred to Dr. Fingeroth or seeking a second opinion, require scheduling a consultation appointment first, during which the pet must be present. You may refer cases to Dr. Fingeroth by either phoning our office and setting up the appointment directly, faxing the referral letter to us or by having the client call to make the appointment as long as the referral letter is forthcoming.

In April of 2009, we welcomed Dr. Paul A. Kloc II who will take his surgical boards in the spring of 2010. Dr. Paul Kloc will be on a leave of absence until February 2010. Dr. Fingeroth will be handling all our surgical referrals until Dr. Kloc returns.
Dr. L. Mark Hedges is available for emergency surgery as needed. Dr. Hedges can and does perform orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries as emergencies when our surgeons are not available or are already booked. He is available for community practice surgeries on Wednesdays.
