Specialist's Availability  Dr. David Brummer, DVM, ACVIM, our boarded internist conducts referral consultations on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. He schedules his procedures in the afternoon on each of those days. He is available for our attending veterinarians for consultations whenever he is "in" at OPVMC. He, too is not available on Wednesdays, weekends, or holidays. Dr. James Fingeroth, DVM, ACVS, our boarded surgeon is available for surgical consultations on Tuesday and Thursday morinings, rechecks in the afternoon and for surgery all day on Wednesday. Dr. Fingeroth needs to see each prospective patient as a surgical consulation appointment before surgery is scheduled. Dr. Fingeroth is not available Monday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Dr. Paul A. Kloc II, MA, DVM is available for surgical consultations beginning April 2009 on Mondays and Wednesday, mornings and afternoons. He is scheduled for surgery all day on Tuesdays and Fridays. He can provide emergency surgery as needed. Dr. Kloc is off on Thursdays beginning in July 2009. Dr. L. Mark Hedges, DVM is available for surgical consultations and needed surgery and is available for emergency surgery as needed. Dr. Hedges can provide consultations for Dr. Fingeroth and Dr. Kloc when neither is in the building or are in surgery.Dr. Hedges is not available on Tuesday. Dr. Katherine Houpt, VMD, PhD. Dipl.ACVB, our visiting behavioral specialist schedules appointments on the second Thursday of each month.
