Dr. Stacie Minnier-Thomas

Dr. Stacie Minnier Thomas graduated from Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and has worked in private practice since then. Dr. Minnier grew up in West Seneca and attended Villa Maria Academy in Cheektowaga. Her college education took her to the University of Rochester and Cornell University's animal science department. She resides in Elma with her husband Michael and children Jacob, Isabella and Cordelia. They share their home with two dogs, Solo and Snarf.

Professionally very active, Dr. Minnier's interest extends into the fields of avian and exotic medicine and surgery. She is a past director for the Avian and Exotic Veterinary Council of Western New York and has participated in the Avian and Exotic Support Network for Greater Buffalo Veterinary Services. She is a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV) and is currently working on becoming credentialed for the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP-avian). Dr. Minnier Thomas hopes to become certified within the next several years.

Dr. Minnier Thomas is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, New York State Veterinary Medical Society and the Buffalo Academy of Veterinary Medicine. She is currently serving a term as president of the Western New York Veterinary Medical Association.

When not at OPVMC, Dr. Minnier Thomas enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and interior decorating and design.

Having joined our staff in 2006, she is happy to be a part of such a talented, dedicated and compassionate hospital team.
