Hospital Operating Status and COVID-19 Information

UPDATED 10.7.2020:

In an effort to ensure a safe environment for all animal owners, visitors and OPVMC team members, we ask that you please avoid visiting our hospital if you are currently experiencing flu-like symptoms, including a fever and a cough, or if you or someone you have been in contact with have travelled to an affected area within the last 14 days.

We are open 24/7 to provide care for your companions for ALL SERVICES.

If you are ill or have been potentially exposed to COVID-19 and have a veterinary emergency, please try to find a healthy friend or family member to accompany your pet to the hospital. If you cannot find someone to bring your animal to the hospital, please call ahead and inform us of your pet's issues and your health status at 716-662-6660.

With regard to bringing your pet to OPVMC, at this time for the safety of our staff and the public we are still only offering Curbside Appointments. Once you arrive at our facility please park in one of the numbered parking spaces and CALL or TEXT us your name and your pet's at 716.662.6660 to check in. To learn more about our new texting feature: https://www.opvmc.com/contact-us/#text

We ask that you stay in your vehicle or the parking lot while we examine and treat your pet. We also ask that when staff members arrive at your car for any reason that you please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Please be assured, within our hospital, we are conducting frequent cleanings and using appropriate disinfectants to help protect our hospital environment. Our clinicians and staff continue to practice safe hand hygiene, with clinical teams also wearing personal protective equipment as warranted. We are paying increased attention to social distancing and ask that you do the same during your visit.

Currently the only visitors that are allowed into the facility are those that are here to be with their pet during euthanasia or to use our public restrooms. We ask all visitors to our hospital must wear a mask and to please practice preventive measures such as hand washing/sanitizing and covering coughs/sneezes using your sleeves or a disposable tissue. Together we will help ensure everyone's personal safety.

We thank you for your understanding, patience, and cooperation. Your help and cooperation as above is required to ensure our hospital remains operational during this time.
