Because OPVMC provides its services 24 hours per day we are always looking for highly motivated and dedicated professionals who may be interested in joining our team. LAB Licensed Veterinary Technician

Hiring Full-Time. 8-10 hour shifts, weekends as needed. Pay: $22-$26 per hour.

Full Time, 4 10-hour shifts (one weekend shift). Daytime, evening, and night team members wanted. Pay: $17-19 per hour.

Emergency Veterinarian

We're Hiring: Emergency Veterinarian

Full-Time | On-Site | Orchard Park, NY

Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center (OPVMC) is a thriving, AAHA-accredited hospital offering 24/7 emergency, specialty referral, and primary care services for small animals in Western New York and beyond. Located just outside Buffalo, we serve as a critical resource for both pet owners and referring veterinarians in the region.

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values collaboration, and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.


What You'll Do:

  • Provide emergency and critical care to a wide range of urgent and complex cases

  • Perform diagnostics and interpret results quickly and accurately

  • Develop and implement treatment plans with support from experienced technicians and specialists

  • Collaborate with internal medicine, surgery, and other specialty departments

  • Communicate clearly with clients in high-stress situations, offering guidance and empathy


What We’re Looking For:

  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school

  • Emergency medicine experience preferred (new grads with internship training welcome to apply)

  • Confident in managing high-acuity patients and making critical decisions under pressure

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for teamwork

  • Familiarity with AAHA guidelines and best practices

  • Board certification in a specialty area is a plus

Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center, established 1958, is a privately owned, primary care, 24/7 emergency and specialty practice. OPVMC’s busy surgery department has a strong, diverse caseload, and we’re looking for someone to grow with. Currently along with our eighteen emergency/general practitioners and a surgery residency trained DVM; our boarded team consists of one surgeon, two internists, an oncologist, a behavior specialist, remote relationships with a radiologist and clinical pathologist. We have incredibly loyal, hardworking staff; many tenures of 20-40+ years. We’re dedicated to patients and community, cultivating an environment that fosters team learning and laughter. In 2008, OPVMC moved to a newly remodeled 22,000 sq. ft facility with digital radiography, endoscopy, cystoscopy, GE-Logiq-s7 ultrasound, and complete onsite laboratory including Olympus camera microscope for same-day remote pathologist evaluation of cytologiic preparations.
